Pianist
This is the portrait of good friend of mine. By creating this portrait my intentions were not to focus much on the details. The hands and piano keys show what is happening but do not draw excessive attention to themselves. Same with the face, as much of canvas as face and body occupy, still you don’t fixate on them, the soft blending of suit, background, etc., -all of those elements are not defined in a hard way, but show more what it feels like for pianist when he tries to make music on a piano.
Это портрет моего хорошего друга. Создавая этот портрет, я не делала акцент на детали. Руки и фортепьяно изображены так, как будто что-то происходит, но не привлекают чрезмерное внимание к себе. То же самое с лицом, оно как и тело занимает большую часть холста, тем не менее Вы не фокусируетесь на них, благодаря смешиванию их с фоном – все те элементы не определены твердым способом, но показывают больше – чувства пианиста, когда он пытается сделать музыку на фортепьяно.
